Adventures. Home. Happy.

Well, we are home. With a little bear in tow- all smiles and joy. Leading up to the trip to MS to get him was stressful for us...trying to finish his room, getting the time off work, money for the tickets and rental car, and tying things up with his momma to get him here. But we made it all in one piece, and as we drove to the airport...got our boarding passes (which he insisted on holding)...walked through security...it all became more and more REAL. It was really finally happening! The moment my love has been waiting for since little bear was born!

Finally made it to the gate with our bear!

"I go on the airpwayne Daddy!"

While we were on the plane, for the long 4hr bit little bear and I were together and Daddy was sitting somewhere else. We had A BLAST. We read books, played with toys, did drawings, put stickers all over my arms and peeled them off saying "ouchie!"and made his little transformer toy dance around. We wanted him to be able to walk to our next gate even though we were in a hurry, so we played the "1, 2, 3, SWING!" game and got him there in a flash...have to say I was impressed with our quick thinking. Energy out AND moving quickly = winning. The second bit was only 1.5hrs and we all got to sit together, he was about done traveling for the day so we broke out the Mickey Mouse House episode I downloaded and he was alright all the way home.

My favorite part was when he would walk down the aisle of the plane waving to everyone as he went by, hilarious. 

 As soon as he got in the car, literally we hadn't even left the airport yet, he was asleep. Being up since 3am will do that to a little bear. 

Since then it's been a week of fun! More to come on all of our adventures.

I Am Looking Forward To...

Oh so true. She is such a gem. She taught me to relax and have fun and be silly with any sweet pea. To say she is excited for Little Bear to come, is an understatement. I love her heart for a little one even though they aren't even related by blood. Just by love. What a precious gift she is.

We Are Ready For You Little Bear.

Oh my sweet little love. We have been waiting for this moment longer then you know. Counting down the months...and now days until you get to be with us. Your Daddy has loved you from the moment you were born and has wanted you with us forever more. Life took us a lot of places, we were always working to have you but it just took us awhile. And here we are. 

I have worked hard on your room over the last few months. Your bed, toys, pictures on the walls...working hard to get everything as it should be for you, our Little Bear. I have our plane adventure packs ready to go, full of snacks and toys and games to keep you busy for our journey day. Your new TaTa is planning a welcome party for you because our family and friends are so excited to meet you. 

I'll be honest, I miss being around sweet little ones like you. When I was a teacher and nanny all I did everyday was get to plan activities and adventures for precious Little Bear's like you. I don't get to do that right now with a new job, so planning everything for us to do together has been like a dream come true. The first week you spend with us Daddy and I took off work just so we can venture around your new home with you. I can't wait to take you and do everything we've planned! 

Tomorrow you get to see your Daddy. And in 3 days I get to see you too! The countdown continues until we are together my love, until then spend as much time as you can with your Momma. Enjoy every moment together because she will miss you very much.
